This is Laura Williamson.
She is married to Michael Williamson and the mother of Pip and Jing Jing. She lives a theatrical life and her family plays a role under the spot light with her. As the executive director at the Muncie Civic Theater in Muncie, Indiana, Laura has immersed her life within the walls of the 136 year old building on Boyce Block by finding ways to sell seats, advertise, network within the Muncie community, and fundraise money for the theater. She also creates and directs some of the live shows at the theater and occasionally plays a role in the shows.
Her life is a never ending curtain call, running from home which is two blocks from the theater and juggling the normal family life of school, grocery stores and parent teacher conferences. While creating this story, Laura was in the middle of preparing for musical Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat. From late nights of rehearsing and her daughter, Jing Jing sleeping in the chairs of the theater, Laura has called this her second home for the past eight years.
Laura has let me be apart of her life for the past few weeks and I continue to follow her story today. With a passion so strong and bright, Laura continues to produce theatrical performances for the city of Muncie with her family and friends through the Civic theater. This is Laura's technicolor dream home.
